Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  • Basumati rice - 1 cup
  • Vegetables like Cabbage, Beans, carrot peas - 1 - 2 cups
  • Capsicum - thin sliced - 1/2 cup
  • French onion - chopped - cup
  • Olive oil - 2 tbs ( can use vegetable oil also)
  • Green chilly (optional) - 1
  • Soya sauce 1 tbs
  • Hot chilly sauce 1 tbs
  • Vinegar 1 tbs
  • Black pepper - 1 tbs
  • Salt


Soak the rice in the water for half an hour. Cook the rice such that grains are separate. Now put oil in the container and bring it for cooking vegetables. First add the green chilly and then add carrot, beans and cabbage to the container. Fry until it is half cooked. Then add capsicum and little chopped French onion to it. Keep some French onion for garnishing. Add salt, black pepper fry until all the vegetables are 80% cooked. It should be little crunchy.
Now add the cooked rice to the vegetables and mix it well. Bring down the flame to low. Add Soya sauce, vinegar, chilly sauce and mix well. Let the mixed rice be on the stove for 2-3 minutes then turn off the stove. Garnish with the remaining French onion. Serve hot with the tomato ketchup.

Wow this recipe is just what I follow to make fried rice! Nothing matches indian street fried-rice n gobi manchurian!
